Estimated teaching time for this module is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Please note that you may have a range of people in the room who are at different stages of monitoring their diabetes. Some may have a meter and be able to confidently use it whilst others are still considering whether or not they want to test. At the beginning of the session it may be useful to inform participants that they can arrange an individual session if they wish to commence blood glucose monitoring or they are unsure about their technique.

Please note: If the group is made up of people who are already blood glucose monitoring we suggest that you use some of the material from the Problem solving module so that participants have an opportunity to discuss and problem solve various scenarios.
